The Founder

Thirteen years in institutional banking. Then a different use of the hours.

Christian spent thirteen years in institutional banking across Asia-Pacific, structuring and syndicating billions in financing for some of the world's largest technology names, including Tencent, Alibaba, Alipay and Xiaomi. On paper, exactly where you are supposed to be. In reality, hours that belonged to someone else. In 2025 he resigned and went to see the world instead.

AI had been the obsession for years before that: thousands of hours of hands-on use, and every new release tested as it shipped. The practice began with friends and family, who saw within an hour what AI could do inside their own work. Metis AI Advisory is that same hour, offered to a small number of motivated professionals and the teams they lead.

He works from Hong Kong and takes clients worldwide. Every engagement is founder-led: there is no bench of junior trainers, and the person you speak to on the first call is the person in the room.

The Namesake

Mêtis. Judgment, not computing power.

μῆτις · MEE-tis · noun. Practical, cunning intelligence: the skill to read a situation and make the right move. In Greek myth, Metis was the goddess of wise counsel and the mother of Athena. Wisdom that wins through cleverness, not force.

Using AI well demands exactly that. The models supply the computing power. The judgment about where to point them, and where to keep them out, is the part that stays human. This practice exists to build that instinct in you.
